UoPeople student Angelo Cardona wins scholarship from Harvard University

Angelo Cardona is a Soachuno graduate from a public education institution in Soacha, a business administration student, and now a Harvard University scholarship winner.

On Wednesday, June 29, the young Angelo Cardona, a graduate of the Santa Ana Educational Institution, from Soacha and currently a Business Administration student at the University of the People, was announced as the winner of the innovation and social change scholarship from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Cardona, a young Soachuno who has stood out for his social work and human rights in Colombia and other regions of the world, co-founded the Ibero-American Alliance for Peace and serves as Representative for Latin America at the International Peace Bureau (Nobel Peace Prize, 1910).

His work has earned him different international recognitions and in 2021 he became the first Colombian to win the prestigious Diana Award, given by the British government and considered the most prestigious award that a young person can receive for their social and humanitarian work.
